Pictured is a lioness (Panthera leo) on a kopje, photographed in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. Lions can often be found near or on kopjes, granite islands in the vast and endless grasslands of the Serengeti. Kopjes are safe havens for many animals, which use them to rest, as a lookout and to give birth to young. The same goes for the king of the animals. Pregnant lionesses always withdraw from the group and look for a safe place to give birth to their young.

Prints ordered in the webshop are in the fixed dimensions 30 x 45 cm for the price of € 135, made on Hahnemühle fine art paper and have a white border. Prints are usually shipped within two to three weeks. Price includes shipping, excluding any import or tax surcharges.
